Thirty Day Naruto Challenge Day 12: Favorite Hidden Village
Konohgakure. Well, it is the village we watched Naruto and the cast grow up in, have their first adventures, and call the place home. For a fictional place it kind of holds a lot of memories for me… definitely one of the places I would love to visit if only it really existed.
Amegakure. I find it beautiful actually, like a city-sized work of urban art. The industrialization and everything. Also, it reminds me of my favorite city in a video game - Midgar from Final Fantasy VII… well, what’s left of Midgar at least. I also happen to love the rain.
Kumogakure. Simply because it’s really scenic. I love those Asian paintings with ‘floating islands’ that Kumo reminds me of. Also, it’s home to some pretty awesome shinobi.

It’s on Hulu. ;)

But then all the Hulu videos are tagged [US Only]… and I’m a whole Pacific Ocean away. :( I guess I’ll just do what I did with Durarara!! and watch from different sites. lol. :))

It’s great! I think you’ll enjoy it. Everyone loves a youkai romance, and the art is beautiful.

AWESOME! :D The art really is beautiful… it kinda makes me feel like painting without drawing first, something flowy with the watercolor and making it look all traditional Japanese.

…it’s just kinda hard to find a good streaming site for it. Can’t download ‘coz hard drives are full.

“[The game] will star a female assassin named Aveline, who is of mixed French/African heritage. It will be released alongside Assassin’s Creed III this fall, the story will take place in New Orleans (yes!) during the same time period as Assassin’s Creed III, it’ll have multiplayer, and won’t feature Desmond.

Aveline will meet Connor from Assassin’s Creed III, and her mentor will be an escaped slave, which combined with the location and time period could mean that “Liberation” probably refers to the liberation of American slaves.

The back-touch screen will let you pick pockets, and all of New Orleans will be explorable without any loading screens. It will also take players into Mexico. Oh, and it will feature alligators!

Sounds Like Assassin’s Creed Will Debut a New, Female Assassin’s Adventure On The Vita This Fall [ Kotaku ]

holy shit guys, look, look at her outfit, she isn’t even sexualized at all. I can’t believe it, and she’s a main character. A GIRL MAIN CHARACTER IN AN ACTION GAME THAT ISN’T THERE TO BE EYE CANDY.

I’m… I’m so proud. It’s catching on!!

OH MY GODDDDD

So I’m gonna start watching Nurarihyon No Mago. I need to remember how to spell that right.
I never could pronounce it either. Anyway, my friends have heard good things about this anime, and I’ve always been kind of intrigued by it. My favorite J-Rock band sang two of its opening songs, and I think the artwork is beautiful.
…and it’s been a while since I last watched an anime that was a little more traditional, like Kenshin/Inuyasa long. :)

THIS IS GONNA BE EPIC!
At first I was like: Finally! Seven-swordsmen pwnage time! Yay! Suigetsui’s brother! :D
Okay, sounding like a fangirl there.
And then I wondered where Zabuza suddenly got his sword. Didn’t the samurai take it from Suigetsu? Then I remembered that he’s is still trying to look for it… and then I pondered what could be inside that scroll he and Juugo found.
…yeah… that scroll’s been bothering me for a while. :))

I really like most of the Naruto characters, so for this day’s challenge I had to rack my brain a bit and be a little more nit-picky than usual - except for my first answer.
Before finding out where I live and killing me, let me explain first, okay? Those six  up there are the characters I found annoying in one way or another - that doesn’t mean I hate them or wanna bash on them or anything like that. They just probably did something I didn’t particularly like and therefore found them annoying maybe for a while, maybe until now.
Like I said, let me explain first. :D
Thirty Day Naruto Challenge Day 11.0: Most Annoying Male
Shimura Danzo. I know he just wanted to protect Konoha and all, but ends don’t justify means. I just don’t agree with his methods at all, and I hate that he treats his subordinates like pawns while he goes off collecting peoples eyes for his own lofty goals. Maybe I just don’t understand him or his motivations, but I almost kind of hate him… honestly I’m glad it was Sasuke that finished him off.
Maybe I really dislike him because he goes around declaring his love for his village and his desire to protect it while doing such evil things. At least Orochimaru had a goal he really believed in and didn’t try to be all noble about it. Same with Tobi - he wants to put the whole world under genjustu, and has no qualms about being straight up about it. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just because he was the reason the Uchihas are dead and Sasuke’s life is so fucked up.
Yakushi Kabuto. I actually kind of like that he’s managed to keep his skills and identity such a secret for so long, and well, I guess his past kind of explains his motives a bit. I guess I just dislike him because he, well… he desecrated people’s remains and is playing with people’s souls. Despite the whole edo-tensei thing giving us a chance to see some tearful heart-wrenching reunions, I’d have liked the deceased to have a quiet afterlife in peace, you know.
Maybe he’s just being a little too whiny in the latest manga chapters. Maybe it’s because I kind of felt that the Sound Four, Orochimaru and Kimimaro sort of got violated now that they’re attached to Sage-mode Kabuto.
Udon. There’s not really much of a reason except that he probably has a lot of potential and isn’t using it. I mean, look at how much Konohamaru has grown. Udon’s still the same little dude from pre-timeskip with snot under his nose.
Thirty Day Naruto Challenge Day 11.5: Most Annoying Female
Fuka. Well, she’s a filler character, so maybe she doesn’t really deserve to be here, but god, when she kissed Naruto and started sucking the chakra out of him it just felt wrong on so many levels.
Haruno Sakura. She’s actually okay, really. There are only two small reasons why she’s on here - one, is her ending her friendship with Ino just to be able to be ‘rivals for Sasuke’s love’ it was a childish thing and they got over it so it’s all okay. I just think it’s kind of shallow to end friendships because of crushes, that’s all.
The second reason is her lying to Naruto and saying that he loved him and not Sasuke. This was actually one of my favorite Naruto moments because it showed us just how mature Naruto has grown. And well… I just didn’t like that Sakura thought that Naruto’s resolve to save Sasuke was so shallow. She had her reasons and I understand why she did it, but… well I just wish she believed in Naruto’s ability and Sasuke’s redemption a bit more. Another thing would be that I think Naruto deserves to be well… truly loved. I think he’s still hoping that Sakura would give him that one day, but he knew at that moment that she was just trying to force herself.
Karin. I have to be honest - I didn’t like her the first time she was shown. I dunno… it was kind of… weird and maybe a little annoying… how she flirted with Sasuke so openly…
But I must admit she’s really grown on me, especially since we found out why she fell in love with Sasuke. I thought it was genius how Kishimoto managed to tie up how Sasuke got that Scroll of Heaven from way back in the Chuunin Exams to the events that happened hundreds of chapters later.
She’s grown into such a better character and you can’t really just classify her as “Sasuke’s number-one fangirl” anymore.
Also, she has amazing chemistry with the rest of Team Hebi/Taka. I love watching her and Suigetsu argue… and now that we know she’s an Uzumaki, I’m sure she’s still got an important part to play in this arc.

Thoughtspewage!

Because I basically have to get these out of my head. :)) Anime and gaming stuff, basically.

I hope an Uchiha manages to become Hokage.
If and only if Sasuke gets back on the good side (which he probably will) and not die. He’d probably ‘restore’ the clan, and so, we have baby Uchihas - I’d be awesome to see one of his descendant’s faces on the mountain - and it’d symbolize the end to the whole “Uchiha versus Senju” thing. This’ll probably be way into the future and Naruto would’ve restored peace to the ninja world by then.

What the hell is in that scroll that Suigetsu and Juugo found?
Well, it has something to do with Orochimaru, and now we know it’s not the key to ending Edo-tensei… I’m sure it’ll be something important and possibly plot-changing.

Sasuke smiling in the Road to Ninja poster.

Yeah. Still can’t get over it.

Mixed feels on Sasu-Karin.

I dunno. I used to ship SasuSaku hard. I used to. I think maybe there’s a small part in there somewhere that still does. I don’t mind SasuKarin, especially now that we know she’s a lot more than the clingly fangirl she used to be. But then I think I ship Suigetsu-Karin more… for some strange reason. Ahh well. Whatever.

Where is Uryuu and his father?!

The shinigami are fighting quincy. Kira’s possibly dead! I know Kubo loves tearing off people’s mid-sections, so he could still be alive. I hope he is. BUT THE QUINCY ARE ALIVE AND ATTACKING SEIREITEI. Where are the two Quincys we already knew before this arc? I’m not complaining, but I’ve been wondering what they’re doing for a while.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is currently being awesome.

Finally questions are being answered. I knew this arc had potential.

Laxus is fighting next chapter!

He’s one of my favorite characters (along with Gray, Juvia, Gajeel and Erza) and I’m sure it’ll be epic. I can’t wait.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is next week!

HAS ANYONE SEEN THAT NEW TOMB RAIDER TRAILER? I loved it. I totally want that game. Tomb Raider 3, Legend and Anniversary are some of my favorite games, and this time my favorite gaming company is helping make an addition to my favorite action-adventure-platformer. I’ve been watching news about the new Tomb Raider since last year. I can’t wait.

…I wish there was news on Final Fantasy Versus XIII though, but then Nomura promised to show us something this year, so I’m holding out.

For some reason, I’m not incredibly thrilled about Assassin’s Creed III being set in the American Revolution, but I’ll old my verdict until I get to play it.

Classes start on the 11th.

Hello, second year of college. I’m not going to be taking my engineering majors this semester because I’ve finally mustered up the courage to tell my parents I want to shift to computer science and make video games for a living.

They surprisingly approve. Thank God. I think dad meeting a dude that owns a third-party game dev company during one of his golf games had something to do with convincing them that it was a ‘real job.’ That, and because they’re awesome.

It was heartbreaking when I told them I wanted to take Fine Arts the first time.

Anyway, I’m just glad to say goodbye to electric circuit theory and physics. AND SAY HELLO LONG LINES OF CODE! :D
